This investment project will install a 50 MW wind farm on the high plateau of the Vlašić mountain, about 15 km northwest of the town of Travnik.
Aligned with the national strategies for renewable energy, the plant is expected to produce 112 GWh/year of electricity, equivalent to the energy demand of 20,000 households, and displace 140,000 tonnes of CO2 annually. Beyond contributing to the country’s renewable energy goals and reducing reliance on coal, this project supports the transition to a low-carbon economy and fosters sustainable development.
The EU has provided technical assistance for project preparation and co-funds the investments under Flagship 4 - Renewable energy - of the Economic and Investment Plan for the Western Balkans through the WBIF.
