European Commission President von der Leyen visits the Western Balkans
The President took the opportunity to shine the spotlight on significant investments through the WBIF
'Connecting people and improving their living standards is at the heart of the WBIF investments. The necessary reform process to prepare Albania for EU membership goes hand-in-hand with WBIF concrete benefits. In short, Europe is already here.'
Since 2009, the WBIF has supported estimated investments of €4.1 billion in the public sector in Albania.
The country has benefited from 67 grants for €464.1 million in technical assistance and investment co-financing.
