Corridor Vc is one of three branches of Motorway Corridor V, part of the Trans-European Network for Transport. It is a major North-South transit road between the countries of the region through Bosnia and Herzegovina. Following the E73, Vc starts in Budapest, runs via northern Croatia (Osijek), through Bosnia and Herzegovina via Doboj, Zenica, Sarajevo and Mostar, and ends in the Croatian port of Ploče.
This WBIF technical assistance grant has funded the update of feasibility studies for two sections on Corridor Vc: Svilaj-Odzak and Pocitelj-Bijaca with environmental impact analysis, traffic analysis and forecasts, and an update of economic analysis. In addition, technical assistance has also provided management support to the project implementation unit (PIU) on procurement, and support in developing tunnel safety guidelines.
