This WBIF technical assistance grant has financed the preparation of the Detailed design for the construction of the Centre for Elderly in the Municipality of Pljevlja, in accordance with the Montenegrin National Action Plan for Elderly.
The Centre provides housing for 68 elderly persons and daily care to an additional 30 persons, including those with disabilities. In addition, the Centre encompasses a health centre unit, physical therapy unit, premises for vocational activities, restaurant, and day centre facilities. The investment has contributed to decreasing the poverty rate of the elderly in the municipality of Pljevlja (and Zabljak) and enabled the beneficiaries to access social and health services and improved their quality of living.
