This WBIF TA grant has financed the preparation of the feasibility study for the construction of a wastewater treatment plant and network in Kolašin. The previous wastewater network released wastewater through a single outlet into a lagoon on the Tara River banks. Only 40% of the total population was connected to the network.
The objective of the investment is to provide an adequate wastewater disposal system for the residents and commercial enterprises of Kolašin. Significant improvements in the water quality in river Morača and Skadar lake are expected, as well as improvements in public health and the development of sustainable tourism.
