WBIF has provided technical assistance for a pilot project that was supposed to construct apartments for rent on a non-profit and social basis in several towns in Serbia.
WBIF TA grant funded the needs assessment exercise (feasibility study and the social housing programmes with the appropriate pilot investment scheme), project identification, and formulation of the requirements for further technical assistance. One of the technical assistance objectives was to coherently tackle the difficulties within the housing policy system and further strengthen the institutional capacity at the national and local levels.
