Corridor Vc is one of three branches of Motorway Corridor V, part of the Trans-European Network for Transport. It is a major north-south transit road between the countries of the region through Bosnia and Herzegovina. Following the E73, Vc starts in Budapest, runs via northern Croatia (Osijek), through Bosnia and Herzegovina via Doboj, Zenica, Sarajevo and Mostar, and ends in the Croatian port of Ploče.
With a length of over 325 km in BiH, Corridor Vc is the first major motorway and the largest ever infrastructure investment in the country´s history. It is the backbone of the country´s connectivity, strategically vital for its economic development, and hence, a top priority for the Western Balkans regional development.
WBIF has been actively supporting the development of Corridor Vc in Bosnia and Herzegovina since the start of preparatory activities. This technical assistance grant is part of the comprehensive support provided through WBIF for the preparation of investments.
