The Mahovljani Interchange lies at the crossroads of the E661 Gradiska - Banja Luka and Banja Luka - Doboj motorways in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The interchange is key to connecting the north-west region of the country to the interregional motorway Corridor X (Zagreb - Belgrade) as it reduces congestion, air emissions and noise levels and makes that section of the motorway safer for pedestrians and motorists alike.
The WBIF grant assisted the Republika Srpska Motorways public company with managing the construction of the interchange, business planning, development of a tolling strategy and the introduction of management systems.
