Aiming to increase the effectiveness of the border crossing procedures, North Macedonia and Serbia signed an Agreement on the establishment of border procedures for railway border crossing Tabanovce - Presevo that envisaged the construction of the railway joint border station in Tabanovce (N. Macedonia).
This WBIF technical assistance grant has financed the preparation of technical documentation in two phases.
Phase 1 included the preparation of the Needs Assessment, Design Brief and Concept Design. Phase 2 of technical assistance included the preparation of an Elaborate on Environment Protection (for the national authorities), a full Environmental and Social Assessment package, a Feasibility Study including financial and economic evaluation of the investment, full urban planning documentation, surveys, Preliminary and Main design, technical control (review) of the Main Design documentation, and tender documents for works, supplies and services.
