The main objective of technical assistance was to produce complete technical documentation to support the issuing of construction permits for a 400 kV OHL Obrenovac - Bajina Bašta, the upgrading of substation Bajina Bašta to 400 kV, and the design for construction of the 400 kV OHL Obrenovac - Bajina Bašta, all in accordance with the national legislation in Serbia.
The double circuit 400 kV overhead line (OHL) SS Obrenovac - SS Bajina Bašta is part of a wider intervention focused on the transition to 400 kV voltage in central and western Serbia. It is also a part of the Trans-Balkan Corridor, a major electricity transmission backbone in the Western Balkans and one of the Flagship investments under the EU's Economic and Investment Plan for the Western Balkans.
