Kosovo* does not have a domestic gas supply network and is not connected to the regional and European gas networks. The diversification of sources and routes of the energy supply in order to increase the security of energy is one of Kosovo's strategic objectives.
In 2019, WBIF allocated a technical assistance grant for the development of a medium-term natural gas master plan for Kosovo and the identification of priority investments. The Gas Master plan will be scoped to include institutional factors relating to tariffs, potential implementation arrangements, and the development of transmission and distribution system operators and regulatory competence in Kosovo.
