The single-track railway line Belgrade Marshalling Yard - Ostruznica - Batajnica is a direct connection with Corridor X, with main railway lines (Belgrade) Batajnica - Stara Pazova - Sid - border with Croatia, (Belgrade) - Stara Pazova - Novi Sad - Subotica - border with Hungary and Belgrade - Mladenovac - Nis - Presevo - border with Macedonia.
This railway line, approximately 20 km long and part of Corridor X, is primarily used for traffic of freight trains that transit or finish traffic at the Belgrade Marshalling Yard.
In 2019, WBIF allocated a €0.8m technical assistance grant for the preparation of a Feasibility Study, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and Preliminary Design for the reconstruction of the existing and construction of the second track on the bypass railway line (Belgrade marshalling yard) Ostruznica - Batajnica.
