In line with National Judiciary Reform Strategy, the Government of Serbia has foreseen the modernisation and improvement of the physical judiciary buildings and facilities. The judiciary investments in Belgrade are interconnected and aim at bringing the judiciary buildings up to modern standards and requirements which shall lead to a better and more secure functioning of the courts. In addition, the investments will reduce long-term operational costs.
Following the preparation of the Preliminary and Main Design for the High Court of Belgrade (Palace of Justice), WBIF allocated another TA grant, the third in a row, in June 2013. This grant provided support to the project implementation unit (PIU) in the Ministry of Justice and funded the supervision of works for the reconstruction and upgrading of the Belgrade High Court (Palace of Justice).
